Virtual 3D model of the organ
At the end of the extensive project of the Bučovice parish, a virtual interactive 3D model of the Bučovice organ was created, which is placed on this website and on the parish website.
The restored organ was blessed and the project of the Bučovice parish was ceremonially closed
An extensive project, including the general renovation of the organ, has been completed in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bučovice. The cost of the project amounted to almost CZK 18 million. The amount exceeding CZK 7.6 million helped to eliminate the organ's state of disrepair.
The pilgrimage with the procession of light was well attended
On the 2th of February, the 1st Pilgrimage and Light Procession took place in the church in Bučovice after a great historical break.
The restored organ can be fully used again
The restorers have completed the restoration of the playing part of the organ located in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. It has been restored to the appearance it had when it was built in 1897.
The facade of the church in Bučovice shines with a new facade and the clock once again measures time
The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bučovice has undergone extensive facade repairs. The expenditure of more than CZK 3 million helped to remove the unsatisfactory condition.
Looking back at events in 2023
The Bučovice church has successfully held several events - the Night of Churches with an exhibition of Norwegian art, the opening of an exhibition on persecution during the totalitarian era with a talk and the European Heritage Days event.

We cordially invite you to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bučovice on Sunday, 23 July 2023 at 2 pm, where the opening of the exhibition with a talk including a documentary screening will take place on the occasion of the 72th anniversary of the death of Václav Drbola. The exhibition on persecution during the totalitarian era will run until 17th of September 2023.
