We cordially invite you to the event Night of Churches, which will take place on the 2th of June 2023 in the grounds of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. At the same time, you can see an exhibition of Norwegian art in the church, which will run until 4th of June 2023.
What will the project bring in 2023?
The restoration of the playing part of the organ and the repair of the facade of the front part of the church and the adjacent towers is expected to be completed this year. We can also look forward to the traditional events of the Night of the Churches, the opening of travelling exhibitions and the European Heritage Days.

Restorers have completed the restoration of the listed organ cabinet located in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The playing part is still waiting for the restoration to be completed.
Church in Bučovice boasts a new roof
The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bučovice has undergone extensive roof repairs. The expenditure of more than CZK 4.7 million helped to remove the unsatisfactory condition.
Evening program within the EHD caressed the soul
On the 16th of September 2022, a concert by Kristýna Mrázková and Karel Bezdíček was performed in the church in Bučovice and the prayer was danced by Anežka Miškovská.

On the 31th of July, an exhibition entitled Encounters in Hell, Faces of Cejl, P. Václav Drbola, was opened in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bučovice.

We cordially invite you to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bučovice on Sunday, 31 July 2022 at 2 pm, where the opening of the exhibition with a talk including a documentary screening will take place on the occasion of the 71th anniversary of the death of Václav Drbola. The exhibition on persecution during the totalitarian era will run until 18th of September 2022.
