What will the project bring in 2023?

The restoration of the playing part of the organ and the repair of the facade of the front part of the church and the adjacent towers is expected to be completed this year. We can also look forward to the traditional events of the Night of the Churches, the opening of travelling exhibitions and the European Heritage Days.
The restoration of the playing part of the organ is being carried out in the studio of the Slovenian company Orglarstvo Škrabl, d.o.o. without any major complications. It is expected that the restored parts will be brought back to the church in Bučovice in the spring. The progress of the work so far suggests that we could see the restored organ in the summer months.
The repair of the facade of the church on the front part and the adjacent towers is a new activity of the project. Last year the grantor approved its inclusion in the implementation. The construction work is expected to start between May and June. The project documentation is now being finalized and a tender is being prepared.
The traditional Night of Churches will take place on 2 June. Once again we can look forward to a rich program - Norwegian art, concert, theater. At the end of July, representatives of the PAMĚŤ Civic Association will visit us and will open an exhibition on the topic of persecution during the totalitarian era with a talk. In mid-September, the Bučovice church will again be part of the European Heritage Days event and will offer an accompanying programme.
For the implementation of the project entitled "Restoration of the organ and revitalization of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bučovice" the Bučovice parish managed to obtain a grant from the EEA Grants 2014 - 2021 under the Culture Programme and a subsidy from the budget of the South Moravian Region. The parish of Bučovice is also grateful for the generosity shown by companies and small donors.
