European Heritage Days

We invite you to the European Heritage Days event, which will take place from the 17th to the 19th of September 2021 in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
During the visiting hours, visitors can see the interior of the church and a new permanent exhibition dedicated to the priest Václav Drbola, who became a victim of the communist regime, in the entrance area. There will also be an exhibition consisting of three parts, two parts, which were prepared by the Diocese of Brno, depict the life of priests Václav Drbola and Jan Bula, and the third part, created by the Civic Association PAMĚŤ, describes the Babice events.
An accompanying program is prepared for Friday the 17th of September 2021 evening. On the 70th anniversary of the events of Babice and the death of Václav Drbola, a documentary prepared by the Civic Association PAMĚŤ, Millers from Babice - New Facts about the Drama of the 1950s, will be screened in the Bučovice Church from 7 pm.

The European Heritage Days event in the Bučovice parish is part of the project "Organ restoration and revitalization of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bučovice" funded by the EEA Grants 2014-2021.
